Allison Milliner, DDS, MS
Dr. Allison Milliner has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry for over 10 years! She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona before earning her dental degree, with honors, from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Milliner finished a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), then served her country for five years as a dentist in the U.S. Navy. Afterward, Dr. Milliner worked in private practice for a year before pursuing specialty education in orthodontics, earning a Master of Science degree and specialty certification in orthodontics from Loma Linda University.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Milliner has achieved many honors, including commendation medals in the U.S. Navy and membership in the Tau Kappa Omega dental honor society. She is considered board-eligible by the American Board of Orthodontics, and she is also an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Yuma Dental Study Club
- Angle Society
Volunteering and giving back are very important to Dr. Milliner. She has participated in many humanitarian dental mission trips, including those to Malaysia, the Marshall Islands and Jamaica. She is active with Thousand Smiles, an organization that takes trips to Ensenada, Mexico four times a year. While there, Dr. Milliner helps children with cleft lips and palates.
In her spare time, Dr. Milliner enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, skiing and traveling, with her husband, Jonathan. He grew up in a military family and spent part of his childhood in Yuma, attending both Pueblo and Ronald Reagan Elementary Schools. When opening her own orthodontic practice, Dr. Milliner and her husband both knew that Yuma was the place they wanted to be!
